Hull Middle School received the National Blue Ribbon School Award in 2024

 

Hull Middle School in Duluth, GA, part of Gwinnett County Public Schools, is proud to announce its recognition as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School by U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. This prestigious designation honors schools across the country for their exemplary academic performance and progress in closing achievement gaps. Hull Middle School is one of only eight public schools in Georgia to receive this distinction and one of 356 schools nationwide.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program celebrates institutions that embody excellence in education, demonstrating effective teaching practices and creating a nurturing environment where students and educators thrive. Hull Middle School exemplifies this through its commitment to collaboration and innovation, ensuring all students achieve success.

District Attorney Patsy Austin-Gatson commended the school, saying, “Your school's commitment to collaboration and excellence not only benefits your students but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for other schools in our community.” Senator Jon Ossoff praised the achievement, stating, “This achievement is a testament to your school's ability to inspire growth in your students and drive them toward success.” Additionally, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones highlighted Hull Middle School’s exemplary practices, noting that “your school is a shining example of how effective and beneficial practices work toward educating students, while creating an environment where students and educators can truly thrive.”

Hull Middle School’s recognition as a National Blue Ribbon School reflects the collective dedication of its students, staff, and community to fostering academic excellence. The school’s commitment to empowering learners will continue to serve as a model for schools across Gwinnett County and beyond.
