School Council

Georgia’s A+ Education Reform Act of 2000 required that school councils be established at every public school. The purpose of School Councils is to bring parents and school employees together to share information, discuss concerns, and review progress on improving student academic and non-academic performance.  School Councils provide a way for members of the school community to provide advice to and consult with the principal, and to advise the school board on education matters.
