Rising 6th Grade Information
Connections
Connections Enrollment Information
The Hull MS connections teachers are pleased to offer students a chance to share their connection class preferences. This information provides a brief overview of the available classes. Due to class size restrictions, we cannot grant all top preferences- but we will try our best.
Your child will be assigned TWO connection classes a semester. Music classes are taught during this time, so no academic instruction time is missed in order to participate in a music program. All instruction takes place during the regular school day. Concert participation is the only out-of-school commitment expected of all band, chorus, and orchestra students.
Any student may sign up for music classes at Hull. No previous experience is necessary. Please be mindful that beginning band, chorus, and orchestra instruction is offered only in the sixth grade, so it is very important to consider enrolling in music in 6th grade, as the opportunity will not present itself
again. These classes are a year-long commitment that over 70% of our students at Hull choose.
Registration for our rising 6th graders to select their Connections classes for the 2026-2027 school year will open March 24 and close April 12, 2026. Your student will log in to StudentVUE and complete their course request.

The following is a list of ways that we hope you will find useful.
Agenda Book
Each student will receive an agenda book at the beginning of the school year. It is used as a hall pass and to record assignments. It also serves as a means of communication for parents and teachers.
Email & Websites
Each teacher has his/her own email address and website. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher through email at: firstname.lastname@gcpsk12.org. You may also check homework by signing into your student’s Google Classroom and looking under classwork.
Hull Headlion News
This is a daily broadcast of the morning announcements for Hull. Students run the broadcast from beginning to end. The closed-circuit system is often used to share instructional videos, off-air taping, and to broadcast school-wide events.
Newsletters
Parents are emailed a weekly newsletter. Newsletters are emailed to parents through Parent Square. They are also linked on the Hull MS website.
